Awkwafina Awkwafina, an American performer and actress, started with humorous rap tracks which dealt with the subject of sexuality and race. Her fame grew into Hollywood when she dropped an album of raps. Nora Lum was born to Chinese Koreans living from Forest Hills Queens. Her first exposure to music was through the instrument of trumpet. Following her Jazz and classical training, she delved into hip-hop when she was an teen. Concentrating on school she majored in journalism, and women's studies, and was learning Mandarin in Beijing for a stint. It wasn't until she began focusing on music until she completed her degree. After becoming famous through the Internet the track My Vag was a reaction to Mickey Avalon's My Dick. It eventually was included on the album she released, Yellow Ranger. The album also featured popular hits, including the body positive Queef and the winking tour of her hometown NYC Bitche$. The latter song was linked directly into another venture Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide, which was published in 2015. In addition to being a published author and a singer, she was also a professional as a singer. Alongside early TV shows like Girl Code and Tawk - she appeared in movies Neighbors 2 Storks and Bad Rap. In 2018, her breakthrough role was in Dude Ocean's 8 along with Crazy Rich Asians. This June, she released her new EP "In Fina We Trust".
