Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue E. Taylor is an American actor-producer and stage actress has been known for her roles in the film Ray Undercover Brother as well as on The Mentalist. She received a BA in Brown University in African-American Studies. At the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University she received an MFA. Aunjanue was born in the United States and is an American actress, producer and director who works in television and film. Her career began as an actress in theatre but then proceeded to be a part of numerous television shows, both mainstream and independent films. The actress became well-known as Miranda Shaw, a character who appeared on ABC's Quantico. In BET's amazing show The Book of Negroes she played the role of Ariel. Not only did she be praised by critics for her role but did she also win a couple of awards and nominations. In 1995, she was the first to appear as Ariel on stage on stage in The Tempest. Her credits on stage include The Broadway production of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis. Her film career is highlighted through her performances in Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help. Her part as a regular on the drama series High Incident on ABC High Incident earned her praises.
